I gave my final presentation today, it was delivered to ten people, a mix of parents, students and teachers. Personally I feel like this was the best presentation I could have given, I was more nervous than previously because it was the real thing however I felt really happy with the fact that I was able to do it all without notes, I illustrated my points with diagrams, I was able to answer all the questions posed to me and I felt confident in what I did.
Afterwards I did ask for some feedback from my parents, I told them that I wanted them to be honest and I feel that they were. I was told that I was fiddling with the clicker at some points during it which could be distracting, I'm going to put this down to nerves more than anything else, and I was speaking a little bit too fast - again nerves. However they didn't mention anything about eye contact which suggests that they were happy with that. Furthermore my Dad said my voice projection was just right - a real improvement from the first presentation I did for EPQ - and he really liked the format of my presentation which he said he hadn't seen before. He liked how the image of the tree reminded people that this was all linked together in one project and that I presented it as a cohesive whole rather than block pieces about end product and evaluation. He said he also found it entertaining because there was enough humour in there - picture of Tony the Tiger - to keep it interesting.
Taking this into account I believe that I have really improved my presenting skills - I have never done a presentation with Weebly before so that was a new skill - and I feel that this will really help me later in life both in University and in the work place.
